Frequently Asked Questions

Booking
  • Booking is simple! Just get in touch via the contact form, email, WhatsApp or social media with your event date, location, number of guests and the service you're interested in. Once we've discussed your requirements, I'll send you a booking confirmation and Terms & Conditions.

Your booking is secured once the signed booking confirmation and £50 non-refundable retainer have been received.

  • Yes. A £50 non-refundable retainer is required to secure your booking.

Unfortunately, I cannot reserve dates without a retainer, as popular weekends and holiday periods book up quickly. The remaining balance is payable before your event, as outlined in your booking confirmation.

  • No. The price quoted includes everything discussed during the booking process, including professional face painting equipment, high-quality products and travel where applicable.

If additional time, services or artists are requested after your booking has been confirmed, these will always be discussed and agreed with you beforehand.

  • I bring everything needed for the booking.

    All I require is:

    • One table

    • Two chairs

    • Access to clean water nearby

    • A suitable working space

For outdoor events, I will also need protection from direct sunlight, rain and strong winds to ensure the highest standard of face painting.

I usually arrive around 15 minutes before the booking to set up.

Face Painting
  • Most designs take approximately 3–5 minutes, depending on the complexity of the design and how well children can sit still.

Simple cheek art is quicker, while full-face designs naturally take a little longer.

For younger children, parents often choose smaller designs, which are usually the quickest option.

  • This depends on the length of your booking and the style of designs chosen.

    As a guide:

    • 2 hours: approximately 23-25 children

For larger events, I can simplify the design menu or provide additional artists if required. I'll always recommend the best option to help ensure everyone has an opportunity to be painted.

  • For insurance and manufacturer guidelines, I do not paint the faces of children under 3 years old.

However, younger children are welcome to choose a small design on their hand or arm, provided a parent or guardian is happy for this.

  • Yes.

I only use professional, cosmetic-grade, water-based face paints from trusted brands including Diamond FX, Fusion, TAG, Superstar, Cameleon and Silly Farm.

These products are specifically designed for use on the skin and are easily removed with warm water and mild soap.

Although reactions are extremely rare, if your child has particularly sensitive skin, eczema or known allergies, I recommend carrying out a small patch test first or discussing any concerns with me before painting.

  • Face paint removes easily using warm water, mild soap and a soft flannel or sponge.

Baby wipes can sometimes smear the paint rather than remove it completely, so I recommend avoiding these where possible.

  • Absolutely!

Whether your party is themed around princesses, superheroes, unicorns, dinosaurs, football, pirates, Halloween, Christmas or something completely unique, I'll tailor my design board to complement your event.

  • Yes.

I regularly work at festivals, school fairs, family fun days and outdoor celebrations.

To ensure the highest quality face painting, I simply require protection from direct sunlight, rain and strong winds, as extreme weather can affect both the products and the painting process.

  • Not at all!

I provide face painting and creative entertainment for guests of all ages, including:

    • Children's birthday parties

    • Adult parties

    • Weddings

    • School events

    • Festivals

    • Corporate events

    • Community celebrations

Face painting isn't just for children—adults love joining in too!

  • If guest numbers are higher than originally planned, I'll always work as efficiently as possible to paint as many guests as I can.

For larger events, I may recommend:

    • A simplified design menu

    • Booking additional time

    • Hiring an additional artist

This helps reduce waiting times and ensures everyone has the best possible experience.
